| Dear Client: You and your organization are investing a tremendous amount of time,
effort, energy and money into making sure that your meeting is a success. All of which can
be wasted if the speaker does not do a stellar job. After all, your attendees are giving
you their most precious commodity, their time, and you want to make certain that a
presentation does not merely meet, but rather goes well beyond even their highest
expectations. By hiring me, you have given me a vote of confidence I do not take lightly.
I promise you that I will do everything possible to make certain that you have your best
meeting ever. My goal is to have you and your members saying, "How are we ever going
to top this meeting?"
Approximately six weeks before your meeting, I will call
you and we will discuss all the details of your meeting such as:
- Your specific goals and how I can best help you achieve
them;
- The name of the person who is introducing me. (At the
conclusion of the call, a copy of my Introduction, written specifically for your meeting,
will be faxed to that person;)
- The make-up of your audience in terms of their occupation,
their daily activities, the major challenges facing them;
- What activities precede and follow my presentation;
- The length of the presentation (I Never go past my allotted
time);
- The room setup;
- Travel Arrangements.
During our conversation, you will have the opportunity to
ask questions and discuss any matters or specific pieces of information, such as the
meeting's theme, that you would want woven into my presentation. I often create modules of
material that not only meet your organization's needs but also make it clear to your
members that I know who I am speaking to and the interests and challenges that are
presently facing them.
You will be given a phone number that guarantees that I, or
my representative, will return your call within 1 business day to answer questions or deal
with any changes or problems that have come up;
When I arrive on site, I will contact you immediately to
let you know that I am there. If possible, I will also immediately check the site.
Usually, I will be on site at least two to three hours before my presentation just to make
sure that I am thoroughly prepared for the idiosyncracies of the space and to deal with
any last-minute changes that might occur.
As a professional speaker, I know that the only thing I
have is my reputation and I take all measures, both ordinary and extraordinary, to make
sure that both you and your members come to the conclusion that I am one of, if not the,
best speaker you have ever heard. |
